This course will discuss some of the benefits and risks associated with the use of Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, the course explores some of the core ethics rules implicated when using AI. Throughout the module, best practice tips will be discussed.
Program Objectives:
- Learn about common definitions and terminology associated with artificial intelligence.
- Discuss benefits and potential risks of using AI in your practice.
- Discuss The Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct that may be implicated using AI.
- To provide learner with some best practice tips they may want to employ when using AI.
- Discuss the work of legal policy and rulemaking bodies in providing guidance to lawyers on the practice of law and Artificial Intelligence.
- To apply what is learned through hypotheticals, knowledge checks, and interactive exercises.
- Reflect on steps the learner you can take to ethically utilize artificial intelligence in their practice through a self-reflection exercise.
