Conflicts of Interest: Ensuring Undivided Loyalty



Program Description: 
Every lawyer needs to be able to identify conflicts of interest, and once identified handle it ethically. In this Program, you will learn about: the different types of conflicts of interest, including prohibited conflicts; conflicts of interest screening procedures; and waiving conflicts of interest.
Program Objectives:
  • Learn the ethics rules regarding conflicts of interest and how to safeguard yourself from violating these rules.
  • Apply the ethics rules to several different scenarios.
  • Reflect on the office systems you need to have in place to safeguard against conflicts of interest.
Important MCLE Notice:
If you have previously viewed this program and received a Certificate of Completion, you may only claim MCLE credit once for this Program within a 12-month period. The ARDC reports individual attorney attendance to the MCLE Board by the 15th of the month subsequent to the date of completion of the MCLE program (for example, September events will be reported by October 15).
